Spider-man meets GTA

This was a comic I made for my friends a few years back when Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas was released. I LOVE GTA, it is the greatest series of games and I thought mixing Spider-man and Tommy Vercetti together in a really comical way would be funny. I usually struggle to write a good gag, but once I drew Spidey short and decided that flatuant propulsion would be he means of transportation vs. web slinging; well, the thing just wrote itself!

Most of the gags will only appeal to true GTA gamers; but here's some "inside info" hidden within:

* The two spank addicts are tributes to Sesame Street's Ernie and Bert.
* Bert is wearing a t-shirt that says "LIBERTY" as an homage to GTA3.
* "Snoogins" is homage to Kevin Smith's "Jay and Silent Bob."
* If you notice, Spidey never flips a web to take off or land, but rather uses the force of his fart to propel or ease his movement.
* "SPANK" is a ficticious drug that is dealt within the streets of the GTA universe, particulary in Liberty City as noted in GTA3.
* Tommy drives an 86 Lincoln Continental which was what I drove at the time of the creation of this comic.
* If you haven't played a GTA game, then don't expect to get the "Vigilante Mission", the pink arrow, or "Brown Thunder" gags.
* "Submerge the Nickel" is a game title my friend and I made up to play as a joke on unsuspecting people. It's meant to sound really gay but actually be harmless. So the gag would go that you say to someone:
"Hey, wanna' play Submerge the Nickel?"
"Er, okay?"
"Are you a homo?"
"No way, man! Is Submerge the Nickel gay?"
"No you insensitive bastard!"
"Oh, sorry, I'll play Submerge the Nickel."
"Homo."
